The South Carolina legend’s album drops on Christmas Day
FatRat Da Czar is releasing a new album, Crucible, on December 25. The South Carolina legend wraps a tumultuous 2020 with an introspective look at a transitional phase in his life.
"I never thought I would go back to tackling such deep subject matter," Czar says. "Crucible is about finding your way out of the wilderness that life sometimes leads you into. At this point, the challenges are new but along with that came an opportunity to return to a more personal writing style. The pandemic gave me the time and space to address some vital truths."
Music producer MIDIMarc, who is featured singing on two of the album's tracks, says, "Fat has never been afraid to talk about his life in a personal way, but Crucible digs deeper than I’ve heard before."
